TerraSim

TerraSim is an independent high-technology company that provides commercial off the shelf (COTS) software solutions and services for advanced visual simulation and database construction using a variety of geospatial source data.  Our COTS products are designed to work seamlessly with a wide range of third party modeling, simulation and geospatial data processing applications.

TerraTools, our primary product, is available for both 32-and 64-bit Windows multi-core workstations.  TerraTools natively supports multi-threaded database processing and provides up to eight parallel processing threads per single user license.

TerraTools generates complex urban and large-scale databases for serious games and constructive simulation runtimes.  All databases exported from TerraTools are correlated by design, not translation, ensuring the best geospatial accuracy across runtimes.

Serious terrain for serious games includes geo-specific database generation support for Virtual Battlespace 2 (VBS2), Steel Beasts Professional, and export to visual formats such as OpenFlight and OpenSceneGraph for use in MÄK Vantage and other viewers.

Supported constructive formats include OneSAF OTF, JCATS, JointSAF CTDB for OTBSAF and JointSAF, GDB for MÄK VR-Forces, and more. Exporters are available as separately purchased plug-ins, allowing customers to mix and match components for the lowest price solution for their terrain needs.

TerraSim Xtract is a revolutionary product that extracts and enhances geospatial source data for reuse from legacy databases. Xtract generates reusable source data from OTBSAF CTDB, OneSAF OTF, and OpenFlight databases and exports that data to the widest variety of third party modeling products.  This includes Global Mapper, 3DStudio Max, Bohemia Interactive Oxygene, ESRI ArcGIS, OpenSceneGraph viewers, Google Earth, Presagis Creator, and more. As a low-cost, standalone product for 32 bit and 64 bit Windows workstations makes use of the same proven and advanced terrain generation technology found in TerraSim's primary product, TerraTools.
